The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)/Nihongo Noryoku Shiken is an officially recognized language test organized by the Japan Foundation to evaluate and certify the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers. There are five levels ranging from N5 (easiest) to N1 (most difficult). It is conducted at various locations throughout the world. In Sweden, the Japan Foundation administers the test in cooperation with SAJP, The Stockholm Association for Japanese Language Proficiency Test. The JLPT is held twice every year; once in July, once in December.
